Access Control Systems
Easy to Install Systems
Our systems are professionally designed and installed and can be supported remotely. They fully comply with UK & International standards. A professional installed system reduces risk and install confidence with both staff and patients
Standalone Access Control
This type of system may be used to control access on one or many independent doors in a building for building access. Access is gained by using a numeric code/PIN with a keypad, or by presenting a proximity card or token. These systems are programmed at each door. If tokens need to be barred or codes changed, this action must be completed at every door on the system. Standalone systems are great for smaller sites with a relatively small number of users, token management is simple, and the system can be extended easily as your requirements change.
Networked Access Control
‘Networked’ access control run from a PC or server, this operating system may be used to control one or more doors in a building via a PC network. This allows for an access control list of users with approved access rights to be maintained centrally and updated immediately. As an incident response, a lost fob or card can be quickly barred or removed from the system ensuring security is maintained at all times.
Access is gained by using a numeric code (PIN) with a keypad and/or by presenting a proximity or magstripe card. The reader then checks the user’s credentials via a network and allows for granted access. This means that commands are given centrally and sent to each of the doors. A token can be barred from all the doors instantly. Another benefit of this type of system is flexible control, allowing you to grant different permissions for individuals or groups of users.
Reporting
Reports may also be generated to see who went where and when our systems allow for the export of data in a CSV format so it can be used in time and attendance management software. Common query’s such as “how long was a person on site”, “what time did they get to work are easily run”.
Smart Buildings
Our systems allow control of additional buildings via existing LAN/WAN’s We have considerable experience in controlling access and other services within buildings, for example intruder alarms, fire doors, lifts and lighting.
Intruder Alarms
A common issue with intruder alarms is having to change the PIN code when a member of staff leaves. We can eliminate the issue by allowing the alarm to be set based using the fob or ID Card. Cancelling the card immediately removes access to a building alarm.
Fire Doors
We can maintain an active fire alarm solution yet allow staff to pass thru “fire doors” thus allowing staff full access to the site whilst maintaining security.
Lighting
Significant reductions in Energy consumption, CO2 emissions and energy bills can be archived though linking access control to lighting circuits so that power is energised as a person arrives on site and can ceased as the last person leaves.
PC based systems are great for medium to large sites as they make managing large numbers of doors and users easy. The system can be extended very easily, and advanced features such as event reporting and integration with CCTV and other systems make such a system much more than just a replacement for a bunch of keys.
High Integrity Solution
Very few people ask about the underlying integrity of the underlying system but it’s an important consideration to consider. It is also cost effective to purchase and install and can be substantially networked.
Video, Audio Options
We can allow video and audio options over a secure network anywhere in the world. Yes, that is right, these options can be added to the same network along with confirming identification though vision and speech is a much-requested facility.
High Quality Components
People often comment on our build quality. We use many UK manufactured systems and solution designers and engineers are fully trained and experienced in this area
